I stayed at Witch’s Rock last March. I booked the Advanced trip. When we finally got to the Witch’s rock break I was mind blown .. a bucket list place I've dreamt about for years. Things were cool but localism was definitely apparent. But what absolutely upset me was our tour guide from Witch's Rock Surf Camp was siding with locals because he of course was one and started talking crap about the guys he brought there to Surf. At one point I thought he and the rest of the locals were going to harm me and my freinds . They didn't know I understand Spanish. Other than that my experience was decent . But to feel threatened by an employee of the place you paid good money for is unacceptable. I get emails all the time about coming back but I just have a hard time with what went down and my safety. You have to remember you are in the middle of nowhere when your at Witch’s Rock.. Imo if a surfer wasn't obeying the rules of the break then let them know and move on. But to actually turn straight to localism while your paid to guide people from all over the world to have a great time is too much.

Is this spot open yet? Any updates for us?

The Crocs freak me out at that spot! My first time down there was in 99 i went to Hermosa,and word was someone was eatin the day we arrived. Needless to say I skipped that spot, but geeezzzz what a wave😮

I love Tamarindo, I wear my Witch's Rock shirts proudly, but you need a geography lesson if you think you are in the southern hemisphere. Twice you mention it and the 'South Pacific' so I think you should be clearer... Or are you referring to the changes down there affecting Tamarindo as a type of 'trickle down' effect?

I’ve seen it flat in the morning on a low tide to fun and rippable two hours later as the tide rose. Great beach break
